French Restaurants in Hanoi
French Restaurants in Hanoi
I work in tourism I saw many Singaporean
tourists, Asian tourist or even French tourists when they come to Hanoi they want
to try some Good French Restaurants in Hanoi.
As my experiences and review from
others tourists and French who is living in Hanoi I would like to recommend some
restaurants below:
1.
Le
Beaulieu Restaurant in Metropole Hotel – Ngo Quyen street with French chief but
Foods are good and as well as prices are expensive, I only come here to eat
whenever someone invite me :)
2.
Shalimar
Restaurant – 63 Ma May street, Hoan Kiem district tel 04 3926 2897, The foods
are good and reasonal prices I think it should be good for tourists to save
your budget, located in old quarter and it is easy for you to find the place.
I often come here with my family and also all the foods they offer from
their suggestions because I have no idea with names of foods.
3.
La
Badiane – 10 Nam Ngu street, Hoan Kiem district tel: 04 3942 45 09. Email: labadianehanoi@yahoo.fr
Place for French residents meetings at the weekend or invite their
friends here, it should be good places for you to try with romantic space.
First time when I came here to try the foods I think in 2009, one French
family I know and be their friends when they come to my office to ask me help
them arrange their visa… so they invited me the dinner after they got their
visa back to say thank you. It was quite interesting when they introduced me
some meals just a bit foods in a big plate display with vegetabe, tomatoes and
butter or some kinds of ingredients. Well, at that time I just gave them a
comment that it is so different from Vietnamese Foods. They asked what is
difference? “Yeah, that is amount of foods, Like this food only nice to your
eyes but bad to your stomach” they were laughing at me and said you are so traditional
Vietnamese Girl. :)
4.
La
Vertical Restaurant – 19 Ngo Van So tel: 04. 3944 6317
The Verticale’s dishes are the result of a surprising French and
Vietnamese fusion that goes across the conventional boundaries. Indeed, the
subte association of ingredients of high quality with various spices explains
why the meals at Verticale are so stunning – All words from the restaurant, I
think you can come and try the foods and write your own ideas.
5.
La
Salsa Restaurant – 25 Nha Tho street, Hoan Kiem district, (directly in front of
St.Joseph’s Cathedral
Foods and services are goods can be rated 2 – 3 star services. I ate
here 3 times with 2 times foods are good but one is not very good so make me
feel a bit confusing about my taste :)
Hope above details can help you find
good places to taste and make your trip become more memoriable.

I still remmeber my first job in tourism department when I was in 2nd year in College I started to work in travel agent in Hanoi Old quarter, at that time a lot of tourists coming to Vietnam without booking any services so travel agents located in Old quarter were the places tourists choose to book and ask information. I met many new friends who have been very friendly and happy when I gave them some useful information.
I was so happy to see customer happy with my services supplied, and really feel sad when I customers felt unhappy with some services were not good during the trip. so I always talk to myself I have to do in tourism bussiness I want to help people and friends who want to visit our country have a great and memoriable time with their holiday. I realized that I really happy when I got email with thanks from customers.
I have been working in tourism in nearly 7 years, and I met a lot of people in different countries and cultures. Many people are very nice and make me feel so happy and lucky when I met them, maybe they did not know about their roles but it is so important to me such as a kind family from German "Stiefel family" Mrs Kristina helped me find my own way to back my life when I got bad situation in my married or Chi Roni and anh Brenden from Australia who always write to me nice words to encourage me in time ... and others customers each people as my family and my friends. I think my services is different from other agents because it is like friend assist friends with their trip not because of bussiness only.
I love to work in tourism because I can share my culture, my experiences, my adventure to other people and would love to get back from people with their culture, their comminucations... and love to see each person and each family happy when they spend their holiday with me.
